Psalm 33:1-8
The psalm is devoted to praising the Lord. It is a reminder that only those who live a rightful life of faith and obedience can sincerely worship the Lord. Those who have experienced the grace of God and received His forgiveness praise Him through prayer, studying His Word, fellowshiping with other Christians, and acquainting others with His Word. The Lord is our Creator, loves us, and watches over us. For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. Psalm 33:4
During this period, singing and playing of musical instruments were methods of praise in public worship at the sanctuary. Although the music was enthusiastic, it was respectful and reverent, not jovial and jolly. Many people have been blessed by musical talents and use them in service to Him. A variety of music can be used in worship services as long as the words are scripturally correct. God obeys His own Word when He watches over us. Worship that is contrary to His Word is not pleasing to Him.
